Passing on the buck
Arjun_Singh_300Ever since the court gave its verdict and the public, the press and the opposition reacted, demanding justice, Arjun Singh broke his what seemed to be a long silence this morning. "I didn't let Anderson go", he lashed out. However, the 79 year old veteran indicated that the Bhopal Gas Tragedy finds a place of importance in his biography to be released soon.   According to then deputy chief of mission at the US Embassy, Gordon Streeb, when Anderson was arrested in Bhopal he (Streeb) “immediately contacted the foreign ministry and was assured the government of India will honour its commitment to provide Anderson safe passage in and out of India”.

Higher Compensation to Bhopal Victims to be discussed at GOM Meeting

Bhopal - Cleaning the cobwebs in the cupboards
cobwebThe delayed and callous court verdict on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy has triggered a series of investigations and has lead to the unearthing of certain facts which bring to light the corrupt and inhuman attitude of our ministers. The accountability of the then prime minister Rajiv Ganchi, the then Chief Minister Arjun Singh and many others is now being questioned.

Hand in Glove
warrenandersonAs the case of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy is gaining momentum after a callous judgement by the court, sentencing the convicts to 2 years of jail and then granting them bail, the fact that the ministers, top officials and the UCIL were hand in glove, right from the time the mishap occurred on 3rd Dec., 1984, the fishy escape of Anderson from India to the US and followed by the 25 years of suffering of the people of Bhopal and the convicts eluding the courts.

Bhopal Verdict - All Eyes on Arjun Singh
arjunsinghThe former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh had released and sent Anderson to the US on his own discretion.He said that there was no pressure on him to do so from the Government of India. This was done on the understanding that Anderson would appear before the court whenever called.
