The delayed and callous court verdict on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy has triggered a series of investigations and has lead to the unearthing of certain facts which bring to light the corrupt and inhuman attitude of our ministers. The accountability of the then prime minister Rajiv Ganchi, the then Chief Minister Arjun Singh and many others is now being questioned.

The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh had released and sent Anderson to the US on his own discretion.He said that there was no pressure on him to do so from the Government of India. This was done on the understanding that Anderson would appear before the court whenever called.

Three dozen passengers of a Hyderabad-bound Jet Airways flight had a miraculous escape at Bhopal Wednesday morning when the nose wheel of the aircraft came off just as it was taxiing towards the runway, an airport official said.

25 Years of suffering vs 2 years of jail |

 After 25 years of patient suffering, a court finally convicted seven officials of the erstwhile Union Carbide India Limited on charges of criminal negligence. The convicts were sentenced to two years of jail. Among those guilty were leading industrialist Keshub Mahindra, Vijay Gokhale, J Mukund, S P Chaudhary, K V Shetty, Kishore Kamdar and S I Quereshee. The eigth convict R B Chaudhary died during the course of the trial.
