Gohar Mahal
About this place
Gohar Mahal, built by Qudsia Begum, the first ruling Begum of Bhopal, in the early 19th century, is a fine example of Hindu-Muslim architectural fusion. Situated on the banks of the Lower Lake, it beautifully blends Mughal and Hindu styles. Today it functions as a cultural centre hosting craft fairs, exhibitions and heritage events throughout the year.
