About this place
Van Vihar National Park is one of the few national parks in India situated within a state capital. Spread over 4.45 sq km along the shores of the Upper Lake, it functions as a zoo-cum-sanctuary. Visitors can spot tigers, white tigers, lions, leopards, bears and crocodiles from a 7 km safari road ideal for cycling at dusk.
