Bhojpur Temple (Bhojeshwar Mandir)
About this place
Bhojpur Temple is an unfinished 11th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located 28 km from Bhopal. Built by Raja Bhoj of the Paramara dynasty, it houses a massive monolithic Shivalinga standing 2.3 metres tall. The construction ramp used to place the Shivalinga is still visible nearby.
