Bhopal Administration Conducts Anti-Encroachment Drive on Raisen Road for Road-Widening Project

In a significant move, the Bhopal administration conducted a massive anti-encroachment drive on Raisen Road, removing 70 shops and 42 makeshift huts to facilitate a road-widening project. The drive, which was carried out by the civic body in collaboration with the police, aimed to reclaim over 40 crore worth of government land. The cleared area will be used to construct a four-lane road and a bridge, expected to ease traffic congestion in the area. This move is expected to benefit thousands of residents who commute through Raisen Road daily.
