Bhopal Road-Widening Drive Leaves 129 Families Homeless

A massive 13-hour road-widening drive in Bhopal's Old City area has left nearly 129 families without homes, with 70 shops and 59 shanties being demolished. The drive, which began at 6 am on Wednesday, aimed to widen the busy road connecting the city's old and new areas. The affected residents, mostly from the economically weaker sections, have been left reeling from the sudden loss of their livelihoods and homes.
