The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Bhopal has provisionally attached assets worth Rs 67.25 crore belonging to former Engineer-in-Chief of Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD), Govind Prasad Mehra, and his family.
The move comes under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in a disproportionate assets case. The ED action against Mehra and his family members is part of a larger investigation into alleged irregularities in the PWD department.
The Bhopal ED office will continue to investigate the assets and properties attached to determine if they were acquired through illegal means. This action may lead to further legal proceedings against Mehra and his family.
