Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently inspected the Nal Jal scheme in Bhopal, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the smooth operation of the initiative.
During the inspection, Minister Yadav directed the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department to conduct thorough checks on dry water sources and take necessary measures to prevent water scarcity. Additionally, he suggested organizing awareness programs at the district and state levels to recognize individuals contributing to the Nal Jal scheme's success.
Notably, the Madhya Pradesh government has implemented a unique law to prevent children from falling into borewells, making it the first state in the country to do so. The PHE Department has already connected more than 1.11 crore families to tap water, showcasing the progress made under the Nal Jal scheme.
